Welcome to my raised bed vegetable garden. My name is Marian, and I have grown a successful abundant raised bed vegetable garden here in beautiful sunny South Florida for the past 7 years. This blog will help you learn what to plant, when to plant, where to plant, how to plant and why to plant seasonal vegetables and herbs in your own back yard. I will share secrets to companion gardening, eliminating the need for chemical pesticides. I’ll give you tips on the best organic fertilizers, pest repellents and soil additives. I will help you to maintain your garden, and will include great resources for garden supplies, seeds, plants and more. You’ll also get great wholesome recipes for your home-grown meals, simply the best food on earth.
If you think gardening is too much work, think again. The principles that I will teach you in this blog will enable you to build a raised bed for growing tomatoes, peppers, eggplants – just about anything you want without all the work involved in planting at level ground. You can build your beds as tall or deep as you want, and by keeping them no more than 4′ wide, you never have to walk on the soil surrounding your plants, as you will be able to reach into every part of the bed.
With as little as a couple of hours of maintenance a week you will watch your garden flourish, your blossoms germinate and your fruit develop and grow. The day you pick your first tomato, write to me and tell me how wonderful it is to grow your own.
Staying fruitful,
Marian
